Leslie Marie Grace has been involved in photography for over 10 years. It all began when her father gave her a Polaroid camera when she was a young girl. She was fascinated by the instant satisfaction created from this camera and with her Polaroid camera she began to explore the world around her. Once graduated from high school, Leslie’s father gave her a manual SLR camera. With that camera she realized her connection with photography was more than a “snapshot” relationship and that it would grow into a career. She went on to study Photography and Art Education at Georgia State University and graduated in 2004 with a BFA. Leslie enjoys shooting with any of her many collected cameras. She still enjoys her Polaroid cameras but also enjoys using Holgas and Lomos. She has exhibited work in Atlanta, Georgia and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In Atlanta, Leslie taught black and white darkroom photography I-IV to high school students, and tried to expose the students to more alternative means of capturing images and presenting them. Now in Philadelphia, Leslie is still teaching Art and involved in her own work as a photographer.
